Tzu Chi USA Documentaries at Colorado Environmental Film Festival 2016
Announcements | February 10, 2016 by tzu-webmaster
One of Tzu Chi’s core missions is environmental protection.
We promote waste reduction and recycling, and advocate a vegetarian diet and simple lifestyle to reduce our carbon footprint. We are also engaged in informing the public about issues of environmental importance through the films we produce.
In 2015, Tzu Chi USA produced three documentaries about how climate change impacts the daily lives of people around the world. The films – “The Disappearing Frontier”, “Stung by Climate” and “Keep it Grand” - premiered during Climate Week NYC 2015.
We are proud to announce that two of the films are the Official Selection at the 10th Annual Colorado Environmental Film Festival (CEFF). The festival’s mission is to present “thought-provoking films and dialogue that raise awareness of a wide variety of interconnected ecological, social and economic themes”, and “Stung by Climate” and “Keep it Grand” fit the bill precisely.
If you are in Golden, Colorado between February 18 and 20, please attend the screenings of our films in the Foss Auditorium of the American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th Street, and join the discussion. Our filmmakers Nils Aucante and Daniel Ferrara look forward to meeting you!
