We build a harmonious society, family by family, day by day, by supporting those in need so they may help others in return.

Hope Heals Campaign

Lift Hearts this Holiday Season and Help Families Impacted by the Camp Fire
The Camp Fire has left thousands of homes destroyed and just as many families without shelter, clothing, food, and so much more. This is why we are calling for a 1-to-1 match! It’s important that the seeds of giving are widespread, so we are putting 10,000 people to task to help 10,000 families affected by the Camp Fire.

Steadfast as a Mountain

This is our heartfelt vow and aim, to be like a mountain as we serve those in need.

Mountains are a symbol of stability and an unwavering nature, as they remain fixed and true despite the turbulence of change and the unexpected. This is our heartfelt vow and aim, to be like a mountain as we serve those in need. Our actions and spirit are guided by immovable determination and loving kindness, dedicated to cultivating wellbeing through Tzu Chi’s missions of Charity, Medical Care, Education, and Disaster Relief.

We are the National Headquarters for Tzu Chi USA, and our campus in San Dimas is beside a mountain, as is the Jing Si Abode, Tzu Chi Foundation’s global headquarters in Hualien, Taiwan, where our founder, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, resides. We are thankful that at both headquarters, our volunteers can draw inspiration from the sight of mountains, since they echo our deepest aspiration to be a support that people can always lean on.

Offering Charity with Love

The welfare of the underprivileged is our heartfelt concern, and we help those who suffer due to poverty, hunger, and homelessness through charity. Our volunteers offer winter distributions, assist disadvantaged students with food bags and scholarships, track homeless demographics to better serve their needs, provide free income tax preparation for low-income families, and offer spiritual support to inmates.

Providing Disaster Relief

Our volunteers are at the ready to provide disaster relief in the U.S. and internationally. Close to home, since California endures devastating and recurring wildfires, we are there to offer aid and loving support after many families have lost everything they own. We also collaborate with the American Red Cross in a fire prevention effort, installing fire alarms and educating the public.

Cultivating Good Health for All

Good health is a foundation everyone deserves, and we are there to provide free medical, dental, and vision care for those in need. These health care services are offered through our permanent clinics, mobile clinics, Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) community medical outreach, and our Healthy Community Program.

Cultivating Humanistic Culture with Education

Children are the future, so equipping students with the tools for success is important to us, as is nurturing humanistic values. Our preschools, elementary school, and Tzu Chi Academies offer high-quality academic instruction as well as moral education. Our student services and character education programs complete the ways in which we cultivate humanistic culture and aid underprivileged youth.
