We provide free medical, dental, and vision care for those in need in the U.S. and internationally. The health care services are offered by medical professional and logistical volunteers from Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA). Between 1993 and 2016, we offered medical services to 551,176 underprivileged or underserved individuals across the USA. We also operate seven mobile clinics that serve low-income uninsured or underinsured patients and those who lack access to ongoing medical care throughout California.

See to Succeed Program

As part of the See to Succeed Program in Fresno, we offer vision care and prescription glasses for students in underserved communities, currently serving 40 schools, prescreening 10,000 children annually, and providing eye exams to 50-60 children per week.

Vision Care on Wheels

Our Vision Care on Wheels provides free eye exams and glasses for underprivileged families in the Greater Los Angeles area, improving the quality of life and job opportunities of farm workers through corrected vision.

Dentists on Wheels

Our Dentists on Wheels serve low-income families and the disadvantaged in California. Over 5 million people lack health insurance in the state and many plans don’t include dental care for adults, so these services are vital, especially for the homeless. 2016, total 3,654 service counts.

Zero Cancer Mobile Clinic

Our Zero Cancer Mobile Clinic, donated to us by ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer, provides free prostate cancer screening services for high-risk individuals in California, helping save lives with early cancer detection.

Medical Outreach in the USA

Our medical outreach in the USA began in Southern California in 1994, and now reaches across the country. Just in 2016, we offered 285 medical outreach events nationwide.
